Mining is the extraction of minerals occurring naturally, such as coal, ores, crude oil, natural gas, and stones. Lafarge Africa plc through its arm of ReadyMix produces concrete solutions and its primary constituent is the granite stone. Proper exploitation of solid minerals creates development and improved quality of life through employment oppurtunities.

The completed project is situated at Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun state. The project occupies about 2 cadastral units (approx. 42 Hectare).

The EIA identifies and assess the impacts of the quarry operations on the environment and the social wellbeing of the communities near the quarry site, as well as identify the hazards caused, and ultimately, present measures to reduce such impacts on the environment and communities.
