Environmental Protection And Rehabilitation Program

Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Program is a statutory environmental statute that every mineral title holder must submit to the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development for evaluation and approval before commencing any mining operations according to section 120 of the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act of 2007. The EPRP is conducted to ensure the protection, rehabilitation, and restoration of the mines and their surrounding environments to achieve environmental sustainability.
